Vision :

To promote research projects carried out from AIIMS Madurai to have high scientific merits, create an enabling environment and build research capacity among faculty, Postgraduates and undergraduate medical students to commit towards high quality research

Roles & responsibilities of Research Cell :

To convene a regular meeting on specific date to discuss the proposal submitted during the specific period
To convene a sub-committee meeting for time bound submissions such as student projects (ICMR STS) and postgraduate dissertations for fast tracking the review.
To conduct capacity building workshops on research methods, grant writing through series of lectures, hands on workshop etc
To organise research day in the institute to display the research output from all the faculty, students and create a platform to recognise their efforts
Organise guest lectures from eminent researchers at national and international level
To disseminate research related funding and scholarship opportunities among faculty and students
To enhance the resource availability and its access for efficient conduct and reporting of research such as quality assured data capturing tools such as RedCap, Plagiarism checking software, Grammerly and Licensed data analysis softwares in co-ordination with competent authorities
To update the repository which includes list of proposals submitted since the inception of the research cell with their current status and published papers associated with it.
To arrange for annual review to discuss the deterrents for research and draft strategies and action plan to promote research in the institute.
To gather periodic project update from each principal investigator
To keep an update of funding received from various agencies by different investigators from the institute
